Are you a junker? Do you live for the thrill of the hunt? Do you love to go to flea markets, garage sales, estate sales and markets to find little bits and pieces of stuff that could have a new life in another project? Is your mind always wandering trying to figure out what can be done with a cast-off piece? Does re-purposing inspiration strike at the most peculiar times? When you look at a piece that may be cracked, dinged, dented or somehow flawed, do you see a new purpose for that piece? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you should come to the Round Top Texas Antiques Week. There are vendors from all over the US that specialize in stuff, vintage stuff, small stuff, fun stuff, useful stuff that could be re-purposed.
Some of these vendors just put a tarp on the ground and dump their small stuff on the tarp with everything one price.
Others price everything differently but segregate those things on a $1 table, a $2 table, etc.
And other booths display their bits and baubles segregated on trays, bowls, boxes and baskets which makes it easier to find exactly what you need.
Some vendors have shelves and bins of sewing stuff.
Hunting for treasures is almost as fun as conceptualizing and making that re-purposed project. If I had the available funds, I’d be going home with tons of re-purposing projects.
